do you ever just...

Do you ever just...Go on an instagram following streak?

Yesterday I got on my must recent one. I just couldn't stop...I think  that's what you call an addiction. I started off just following fellow bloggers and women who post cute stuff. And then I moved on to the interior design part of instagram. It was like a whole new beautiful world that I just discovered for the first time. And then somehow I ended up on cats. If you know me I am completely and utterly obsessed with these four legged creatures. I'm pretty sure they are obsessed with me too because on multiple occasions they have found me when I'm in random spots; i.e. shopping on vacation, when I took my senior pictures (find those here) and I have had them just show up in my back yard. If it were up to me I would constantly live my life like so..

Gotta love me and all my parks & rec references. I promise you they will never end.

Do you ever just...Read an article about this new healthy idea and then think it will change your whole life?

WELL, I cant exactly pinpoint where I read the article but needless to say it gave reasons why you should drink water infused with fresh sliced lemons.
<Guess here what I've been drinking a whole lot of lately>

Yup. Lemon water. When I first read the article I was like oh heck no I am not about to be making what is commonly known in my family as "a poor girl's lemonade"...or at least that is what my Nana calls it. This is when you are so cheap that instead of actually ordering lemonade when you go out to a restaurant you order a water, add a lot of lemons and some sugar and then you have made your own lemonade. I always thought this might be the weirdest part about my Nana.

Potential Benefits of Lemon Water:
1. Clears up your skin
2. Helps boost your metabolism- a girl's best friend!
3. Cleaner teeth

I hope I'm not making these up...I'm sure there are some downfalls to drinking lemon water but I will just ignore those for now. Maybe eventually I'll end up drinking my Starbucks green tea. Oh well it's going to be worth the try.

Drink your lemon water people!!!!

Blog Everyday in February// Day 15

Day 15: A Big Dream

This isn't necessarily a dream per say but more of a goal I had.

Some of my readers may or may not know that over the last year I have struggled with controlling my weight and feeling comfortable in my own skin. You are only given one body, which means that you should probably treat it to your best possible ability. After quitting the competitive sport of swimming in October of 2012 until August 2013 I had gained about 30 lbs. That may not seem like a lot but it did not sit well on my frame. I didn't only take a tole on me physically but more mentally and emotionally. I became not very much fun to be around because of my lack self love. When I was swimming I had never had to worry about what I was eating or how much of it I was eating of it. I never thought about calories, points, carbs, sugars- nope- notta once! In August it had finally hit me that I need to start learning how to eat healthy and that I might actually have to step on a treadmill every now and then. I had been in denial too long with myself. I had repeatedly told myself that I hadn't gained any weight. I obviously had because my clothes were no long fitting any longer.

A picture to sum it all up:
I found it here on the lovely Allie's blog!
As of right now I have lost about 30 lbs and I am the happiest I have ever been in my life. Making a lifestyle change like such isn't the easiest thing in the world to do but it is more than worth it! To me it isn't about the physical aspects as much as it is mental and emotional.

Blog Everyday in Feb// Days 13 & 14!

Hello Friends!
I have been slacking big time on the blog everyday in February- probably because I have been rather sickly lately. I went to the doctor on Thursday and learned that somehow I have strep throat. I thought getting your tonsils taken out would cure this but apparently not. Since I am now recovering after a long weekend of working despite my illness I thought that I should catch up.

Day 13: A Favorite Quote

Another tricky thing. I don't think that I have a particular favorite quote. There are a lot of quotes that I like a lot and some that I even love but none that stick out in my mind as I am reading this prompt. While browsing the Internet the other day I stumbled upon this picture and I couldn't help but think about how true this really is.

A lot of people I know- myself included- have been the ladies in the third row. I feel as if it is important that you take chances and take every opportunity that is brought to you. There is nothing wrong with being the ladies in the front row. Live your life on edge people! I would much rather be them than anyone else!

Day 14: Happy Valentine's Day

Again to reiterate, I was sickly on Valentine's Day so there are no pretty pictures of me all dolled up out to dinner or anything. The boyfriend and I along with my parents got take out and watched Runner Runner.

If you haven't seen it yet I highly recommend it! Justin Timberlake is in it so you most definitely will want to check it out! It is an action movie so it keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole movie.

Here are some cute Valentinesy things that I have found.
Cute babies!

Boyfriend on Valentine's day!

Dad surprised us with these on Thursday night!

home is where the heart is// snow days

Due to the constant change in the weather here I have had the opportunity to spend a lot of my time at home. I love spending time in the comfort in my own home. Nothing brings me greater joy than spending time with my family and friends in my house. I love having people over just to hangout and watch some reality TV a la the Kardashians. As you guys know I am kind of obsessed with them (you can read about them here). As I am writing this post Em & I are watching a marathon of reruns on E!

Throughout the 11 something snow days I have gotten involved in the wonderful world of eBay and selling all of my stuff that I have no longer any sentimental attachment to. I am selling a whole spectrum of sorts. I have everything from clothes that I have worn once to journals, build a bears, and coach purses. Anything you could ever want I am pretty confident that you can find it on my eBay. Go check it out here! I am sure you should snatch some of my great deals up!

Since I haven't mentioned anything about the holidays I have decided to add some of the great memories that Emma has captured with her brand new camera that she got for Christmas from our wonderful grandparents.
Emma & I Christmas eve in our surprise PJs in front of the Christmas tree watching and waiting for Santa to come down the chimney!!
Emma's cute toesies in front of our fireplace!
Three of the four stockings that are needlepoint and a very important tradition in the Sayre family!
Christmas morning with my long awaited Candle warmer! Thanks Mom and Dad
My Nana when we surprised her with an iPad! We love our Nana!
Dad opening his infrared running gear
Emma woke up in the middle of the night and placed all these perfectly cut snow flakes around the door frame! Too cute!
Momma's Broncos tervis! Surprise!

All of these pictures were taken by Emma! Shes an amazing photographer! Even though she's 12 and she's just starting out!

Here's some of the awesome pictures that she's taken so far!

Beautiful snow beauties!!!

All and all I am very thankful for everything life is offering me right now. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me.

Love Always,
Alex

keeping up with the kardashians in real life

So this post might be a slight be funny and a slight bit mean but I'm going to go for it!

Today in class- a girl I didn't even know told me I chewed like a cow...um who are you? and I'm just sitting there like

but I got over it and then I was like

So I have another new addiction...no matter where I go, when I get back into the car I'm just like

I hate thinking about who else is has touched where I have touched with God knows what on their hands.

Also here is a collection of possible scenarios and my reaction

When there is annoying person in class:

When someone keeps going on and on about something I could honestly not care about:

When I see people making out in the hallways:

When a teacher gives you a bunch of homework to do over the weekend:

When I'm with my friends:

When I'm at a social event:

When someone I don't like is near me:

So basically life can be summed up in a arrangement of Kardashian gifs!
