The Fourth of March

March 4th, 2014:

Hello readers! How are you all? Hopefully you are better than I am. As I am writing this post I am suffering from a horrible stomach ache due to the fact that I ate Mcalister's for dinner. I knew when I made the decision to eat there tonight that Mcalister's chronically makes me sick. Just this time it was a lot worse than all the others. It kind of makes me feel like this...

On a brighter note things in life have been sweet. Between the lazy snow days & going shopping with Grandma things are awesome.

My dear Nana's birthday was on the 27th of February so naturally we documented dinner with the family at Malone's.

Love my Nana
My Padre!
My Madre!
Emma was feeling ill and did not want to be photographed.

Also this week the Boy's basketball team has been competing in districts. The section theme was neon so most appropriately I purchased a neon headband from the children's section of Target. I cannot seem to find the headband on their website. Bailey's is also from Target.

Love my sweet friends!!

On the way to the game I saw this sweet car. Not everyday that you are driving behind a Maserati.

Saturday night I had the opportunity to indulge in a really delicious dinner at Merrick Inn with Kendrick and his family for his Mother's birthday!

Blog Everyday in Feb// Days 13 & 14!

Hello Friends!
I have been slacking big time on the blog everyday in February- probably because I have been rather sickly lately. I went to the doctor on Thursday and learned that somehow I have strep throat. I thought getting your tonsils taken out would cure this but apparently not. Since I am now recovering after a long weekend of working despite my illness I thought that I should catch up.

Day 13: A Favorite Quote

Another tricky thing. I don't think that I have a particular favorite quote. There are a lot of quotes that I like a lot and some that I even love but none that stick out in my mind as I am reading this prompt. While browsing the Internet the other day I stumbled upon this picture and I couldn't help but think about how true this really is.

A lot of people I know- myself included- have been the ladies in the third row. I feel as if it is important that you take chances and take every opportunity that is brought to you. There is nothing wrong with being the ladies in the front row. Live your life on edge people! I would much rather be them than anyone else!

Day 14: Happy Valentine's Day

Again to reiterate, I was sickly on Valentine's Day so there are no pretty pictures of me all dolled up out to dinner or anything. The boyfriend and I along with my parents got take out and watched Runner Runner.

If you haven't seen it yet I highly recommend it! Justin Timberlake is in it so you most definitely will want to check it out! It is an action movie so it keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole movie.

Here are some cute Valentinesy things that I have found.
Cute babies!

Boyfriend on Valentine's day!

Dad surprised us with these on Thursday night!

My first blog post!

After a few months of debating over the topic of getting into the blog world and some days spent reading some of my favorites I have decided that I should start my own. I mean, why not? Today's day and age is all about opinions and social media.

I guess I should start with an introduction. My name is Alex and I am currently a student. I am obsessed with all things preppy and monogrammed. I like Reese Witherspoon not only for her outstanding performance in my all time favorite movie, Legally Blonde, but because of her semi-famous quote, "My sheets are monogrammed, so is my silverware and pretty much everything else I own. My rule is, if it's not moving, monogram it." I believe this to be true. Also, my identifier to a lot of people is the known fact that I have a passionate and undeniable love for almost all cats.

[see my sweet girls pictured above]

I'm a follower of Jesus and I love my YoungLife group more than they will ever know! Last summer we traveled to Asheville, North Carolina to YoungLife's Windy Gap! I learned more about Gods love for me and myself than I ever had. I'm beyond blessed for the amazing leaders and fellow classmates that pour into me! I cannot wait for this summer and the fact we get to travel to Rockbridge! I may or may not have started counting down the days.

L-R Bailey, Taylor, Bailey, and then myself]

Another part of my life is my awesome familia! We may drive each other nuts but I don't know what I would do without them! I know I know before you even look at the picture and think it. I look just like my mom. I act just like her, too!

Emma, sissy} at my cousins
wedding last year]

I also have an amazing boyfriend, Kendrick, of over 3 months! He asked me out on my birthday! Isn't that the cutest thing ever? We go to separate schools and somehow he and my friends planned it so that his mom would take him out of school early and then he would sneak in at dismissal and surprise me with roses!!!! I was shocked! I'm so lucky for such a sweet guy to be in my life!

[us on New Year's Eve at my friend Maddie's party! Not the best picture of me because I was sick with strep throat at the time]

He probably will kill me for writing about him on here but oh well! It's nothing negative!

Anyways, now that I have introduced myself in my next post I'll start telling all the interesting things I run across in my daily life! Hope you enjoyed.

Xoxo, God Bless
